Visitors

We had some unexpected visitors show up at the house this afternoon. A mother bear and two cubs. They all made their way up into our apple tree for an afternoon snack. We have been here almost 4 1/2 years and have never seen any in our yard. We knew they were around. Now we have proof!

Saturday Project

This was today's project. A playset with a slide for the kids. I had picked up the slide from the dump about 6 months (maybe longer!) ago and thought I could build something for the little ones to play on. I also made it with the intention when we move I can transport it. They have already enjoyed a lot of playtime on it. They all helped with various parts whether it was holding boards or handing me screws. It was quite fun to design and build.

We traveled to Pinehurst, NC for the viewing and funeral of Naomi's grandmother Eleanor Enlow. It was a sweet time visiting with family that we hadn't seen in a long, long time. Too long as a matter of fact! Here are some pictures from the trip.

Grant has recently gotten into birdwatching. He set up several different bird feeders in the backyard and has been watching them like a hawk :). He also bought a camera to take pictures of them. Here are some of the pictures he has taken so far.
